Jones is arguably the greatest defensive forward in history and would be on the all-time all-defensive team. When you consider that K.C. Jones is in the hall of fame, despite a career scoring average of 7.4 ppg (9.2 was his season high) on 38.7% shooting and 4.3 apg, that shows that the hall has set a precedent (and rightfully so) for inducting defensive specialists, just as they have inducted offensive specialists, who played poor defense (Pete Maravich). Jones was a defensive specialist with enough offensive ability to average nearly 15 ppg during his prime. The voters need to remember that scoring stats get press but defense wins championships.
