Tex Winter

Why he should be inducted:

Coached for 55 years
Won 454 collegiate games at Kansas State, Marquette, Northwestern, and Long Beach State
Kansas State: 15 years, 262-117 (.691), Eight Big 8 titles, Two Final Fours, National NCAA coach of the year (1958)
Won 9 NBA Championships with the Chicago Bulls (1991-93, 1996-98) and the Los Angeles Lakers (2000-2002).
Wrote the book on the Triangle Offense (The Triple-Post Offense)

How this guy is not in, is beyond me.  He is the world's foremost expert on the Triangle offense.  His KSU team won the conference in Wilt Chamberlain's final season at Kansas.  His offense has stood the test of time, going to the Final Four in 1958, and winning the NBA Championship in 2002 - 44 years apart.  If not for Winter, Phil Jackson would be just another coach known for little more than being an odd hippie.
